Lindsay Gordon Spradlin II, 58, of Scottsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at his home.

He was born on June 27, 1963, to the late Lindsay G. Spradlin, Sr. and Lillian (Farish) Spradlin in Albemarle County, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lindsay Gordon Spradlin, Sr.

“Curly” was a hardworking, hardheaded man who took pride in absolutely everything that he did. He enjoyed the outdoors and that’s also where he spent most of his time. Hunting, fishing, mudbogging, gardening, you name it! He adored his family and expressed his love to them in his own special way. His sense of humor and big smile will truly be missed.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 35 years, Sonja (Smith) Spradlin; his daughter, Whitney Nicole Spradlin; his son, Eric Lindsay Spradlin; 3 brothers, Lindsay Lee Spradlin of Charlottesville, Leo Spradlin and Jeffery “Jesse” Spradlin, both of Scottsville; 4 sisters, Vivian (Spradlin) Killingsworth of Staunton, Karen Spradlin of Palmyra, Gail (Spradlin) Ward of Palmyra and Barbara (Spradlin) Isaacs of Lynchburg; 5 precious grandchildren, Caleb, Riley, Peyton, Lyndzie Grace and Kinsley; several nieces and nephews; his fur babies, Delilah, Bella and Louanne; along with a host of extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, arrangements may be sent directly to the funeral home or donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
