Lois Diane (Swanson) Hawk

Lois Diane (Swanson) Hawk, 69, of Arvonia, was born January 21, 1956 in Fluvanna County and departed this world on December 2, 2025 in Charlottesville.
     She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Ada (Birkhead) Swanson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Dick and David Swanson; three sisters, Mae Brittain, Gayle Kidd and Maxine Drumheller.
     Lois worked as a cook in many restaurants in Fluvanna and Buckingham Counties. She also provided in-home care as a CNA. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed collecting lighthouses and hummingbirds. Her greatest joy of her life was watching her grandkids grow and succeed in everything that they have done.
     Survivors include three children, Jason Hawk (Patty), Jennifer Hawk (Jason) and Patricia Thompson (Pedro); eight grandchildren, Sarah, Savannah, Jackson and Austin Hawk, Killian Nuckols, Cade Milbrath, Haley (Corey) and John Thompson (Tori); a sister Janet Toney (John); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
     A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Arvonia Christian Fellowship Church located at 197 Old 15 Rd New Canton, VA, 23123,  by Pastors Elsie Butler and Pedro Thompson.
    In lieu of flowers, mom’s final request was for contributions be made to someone that she held very dear to her heart. This can be done at her memorial service or by contacting Jason Hawk, Jennifer Hawk or Patricia Thompson.
