Luke Douglas Abbott

Luke D. Abbott, 18, was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend that passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024.

Luke was born on March 21, 2005, and lived in Palmyra, VA with his dad and mom.

Luke accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on July 22, 2018.

He was preceded in death by Grandfather Buddy Allen; Step Grandmother Nan Abbott;

Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother Charlie & Doris Abbott; Great Aunt Pam

Walker & Cousin Shannon Walker

Luke is survived by his Dad and Mom (Jason and Deborah) of Palmyra, VA, Sister Leigh

of Ruckersville, VA; Grandmother June Allen of Palmyra, VA; Grandfather Steve Abbott

of Gulf Shores, AL; Grandmother Pat Abbott of Hoover, AL; Uncle Stephen Allen of

Scottsville, VA; Aunt Renae (Shawn), cousins Kat and Zachary Grizzle of Inwood, WV;

Aunt Cammi and cousin Ted Jones of St. Johns, FL; Uncle Les and cousin Audrey

Abbott of Gainesville, FL; Cousin Owen Walker of Birmingham, AL and many other

cousins, family, and friends who absolutely loved and adored him.

He enjoyed playing video games online and airsoft events with his friends. Recently he

began running, working out, and writing music. He enjoyed kayaking down the Rivanna

River with his dad, playing basketball with his dad, and family friend Mark. He also

enjoyed spending time with his cousins, family, and friends. Luke loved serving others

and always wanted to know if you were okay and what he could do for you. He would

brighten up any room with his wit, laughter, or beautiful smile.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Antioch Baptist

Church, 4422 Antioch Road, Scottsville, VA. Interment will follow immediately in the

church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the

church.
