Marguerite Loretta (Wnuk) Blanton

Marguerite Loretta Blanton, 68, of Scottsville, passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2025, with her beloved family by her side.

Born on March 15, 1957, in Michigan to Francis and Gertrude Wnuk. Marguerite brought color, care, and kindness into the world from the very beginning.

To know Marguerite was to know a woman full of creativity, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her love showed up in the little things—like the handmade Christmas ornaments she crafted, for her granddaughter's school or the countless rides she gave her grandchildren to practices, games, and recitals. She never hesitated to show up, pitch in, and love fully.

Marguerite was a steady and joyful presence—always giving, always present. She poured her heart into her marriage of 43 years to her husband Barry, stood proudly by her children, Christina and Greg, and found some of her greatest joy in being a grandmother to Natalie, Jaiden, and James. Her spark, humor, and love live on in each of them.

She was preceded in death by her dear siblings Sylvia, Frances, and Val—each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Barry Blanton; her daughter Christina Morris and husband James; her grandchildren James, Jaiden and Natalie. her son Greg Blanton, and his late wife Debra; and her sister Shirley White.

A Celebration of Marguerite’s Life will be held at the family home, at a later date, where her spirit will be honored in the place she loved most.

Marguerite adored flowers, and the family welcomes them in her honor as a tribute to the beauty she brought into the world.
