Mary Katherine (Warsing) Reardon

Mary Katherine (Warsing) Haislip Reardon, 76, of Scottsville, passed  on Monday, June 12, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving husband and children.

She was born on August 31, 1946, in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Ernest Glover and Virginia Mallory (Hause) Warsing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ernestine “Teeny” Warsing; brother, George “Buddy” Warsing; her first husband, Roger Lee Haislip; and a special friend, Ailene Snoddy. She was named after her paternal grandmother, Mary Gertrude Warsing and maternal grandmother, Katherine Pearl Hause.

Mary was a member of Fox Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains and the beach and enjoyed dancing and shopping.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin Burley Reardon; three daughters, Kimberly Haislip, Karla Waycaster (Wesley), and Kelly Stanley (Bobby); two sisters, Charlene L’Loyd Davis and Vivian Huddleston; grandchildren, Ryan Keith Bolen, Mallory Vaden Sorrels, Aaron Christopher Floyd, Jacob Mason Floyd, and Kimberlee Peyton Floyd; great-grandson, Blake Ryan Bolen; niece, Robin Hilton; nephews, Mark Davis, Scott Davis, Sam Davis, Jeff Davis, Grant Huddleston, and Glenn Huddleston; sisters-in-law and their families, Sandra Tooley, Brenda Denby, Marie Willis, and Shirley Haislip;  three stepdaughters and their families, Wanda Breeden (John), Sherry Parmly (Paul Jr), and Leslie Mann (Kevin); and a stepson, Danny Reardon.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Fox Memorial Baptist Church by Pastors Randy Golladay and Gary Osteen.  Burial will follow in Fluvanna Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
