Michael Allen Carter

Michael Allen Carter, 63, of Scottsville, died on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at his home.

He was born on May 31, 1961, a son of the late Paul William Alexander Carter and Carrie (Campbell) Carter. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John Wesley Carter, Larry Lee Rhodes, and Paul W.A. Carter, Jr.

Michael worked at Uniroyal in Scottsville and Thomasville Furniture in Fluvanna County.  He enjoyed fishing, watching movies, and spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Connor, who was his pride and joy.

Survivors include his wife, Molly Mawyer Carter; daughter, Jennifer Nicole Carter of Scottsville; grandson, Connor Michael Marshall of Buckingham; one sister Barbara C. Moore (Ronald) of Charlottesville, two brothers Dabney W. Carter of Charlottesville; and William L. Carter (Denise) of Barboursville; and many nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dakota Marshall for the care he provided to Michael.
