Nannie Pearl (Jones) Dibble

Our beloved Nannie Pearl (Jones) Dibble, 77, of Dillwyn, departed this life on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Nannie was born on November 5, 1944, to the late Lucy Ann Eldridge and James Thomas Jones. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Harold Eldridge, James Jones and Joseph Jones; along with two sisters, Lucy Alma Rose and Eliza Haskins.

She was baptized and became a member of Slate River Baptist Church at a very early age. She previously worked at the Shoe Factory in Dillwyn, the Garment Factory in Appomattox and the University of Virginia Hospital, until she retired.

She is survived by and joined in matrimony to Neal Junior Dibble and blessed with five children, Geraldine Jones Anderson (Keith) of PA, Sabrina Dibble of Charlottesville, VA, Lachelle Lacy of Fluvanna, VA, Tomeko Dibble of Stuarts Draft, VA and Rico Dibble of Buckingham, VA, along with a step-daughter, Tera Forbes; ten grandchildren, Shannon Cromartie (Rafael) and Jevon Jones, both of PA, Christopher Lacy of Buckingham, VA, Brierra Dibble of Charlottesville, VA, LaMaya Lacy of Fluvanna, VA, Asante Dibble, Kimora Dibble, Omauria Dibble of Buckingham, VA, Sonny Patterson and Jamir Washington, both of Stuarts Draft, VA, Jamarion Tindall, Kadence Tindall and Shawn Tindall, Jr.; seven greatgrandchildren, Naobi Cooke of Winchester, VA, Jorden Cromartie, Jamir Robb, Maceo and Adayiah Jones of PA, Nevaeh and Na’Myra Lacy of Warrenton, VA; three brothers, Kenneth Jones of Buckingham, VA, Charles Jones of Charlottesville, VA and Reuben Eldridge of Washington, DC; along with a host of extended family members and friends who will truly miss her.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Slate River Baptist Church Cemetery in Dillwyn, with Pastor Calvin Booker officiating.

Those desiring may pay their respects from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
