Peggy Jean Douglas, 83, of Fork Union, Virginia, passed away on June 24, 2026. Born on March 11, 1943, to the late Horace F. and Fannie T., Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Douglas; her sons, Ricky Bowling and Randy Bowling; a grandson, Michael Bowling; and her brother, Horace F. Pace, Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Brenda Emery (John) of Palmyra; her grandchildren, Randall “RJ” Bowling and Virginia “Ginny” Bowling; and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her nieces, Janet Kirby, Kim Saylor, and Lori Kirby (Ronald); her sister-in-law, Lucille Pace; her cherished friend, Lois Ruhlman; and her special daughter-in-law, Rhonda Henderson.
Remembered for her kindness and her unwavering willingness to help others, Peggy was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Her gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.
The family is deeply grateful to the wonderful staff of English Meadows in Crozet, Virginia, for the exceptional care and compassion they showed Peggy during her time there.
From 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, the family will receive friends at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
