Phillip Wayne Snoddy, 74, of Scottsville, died on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at his home.
He was born on May 25, 1948, in Charlottesville, a son of the late Earnest Woodrow and Pauline Perkins (Payne) Snoddy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy A. (Ingalls) Snoddy.
Phillip served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Centel Telephone Company for 37 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and bowling. Phillip never met a stranger and had a passion for finding value in things that others would consider scrap.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years June Marie (Lepore) Snoddy; two sons, Phillip Scott Snoddy and wife Rachel (Black) Snoddy of Scottsville and Stewart Brent Snoddy and wife, Tonya Scott Snoddy of Leesburg, GA; sister, Shirley Sydnor; six grandchildren Brandon Snoddy, Caitlyn Madl, Alexis Gillespie, Jazmine Snoddy, Stewart “BJ” Snoddy Jr., Braylen Snoddy; and a host of great grandchildren, family, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Scottsville Cemetery by Reverend Henry Enochs, Jr.
