Richard Linwood Keyton, 47, of Palmyra returned home to his heavenly father on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was born on September 24, 1977, in Charlottesville, VA.
Those preceding him in death include his father, Kenneth Linwood "Kenny" Keyton; grandfather Paul Keyton; grandmother Peggy Walton and great-grandmother, Verdie Sholes.
Survivors include his mother, Wilma Lee Kidd and grandmother, Judith Kidd, both of Palmyra; daughter Hannah Keyton and her boyfriend, Chad; and grandson Afton Keyton, all of Amherst; sister Trista and husband Roger T. Robertson; two nieces Brynlee and Aubree all of Palmyra.
His uncle, Larry Kidd was especially close to Richard as they both shared a love of vehicles. His aunts and uncles Cornellia Kidd, Julia Kidd, Theresa Pugh, and husband Charles "Bimbo" Pugh, along with cousins Amy Morris, Dawn Jarvis, and Joshua Killough; and a special niece, Allie Wheeler; loved and adored him very much. Richard had lots of love from his best friend Corey Ryalls; close friends also included Ashley and Wade Wheeler as well as Courtney Ryalls, who all considered him a brother.
Richard attended Albemarle High School and worked for A-ffordable Heating & Air in Palmyra. He had a love for four wheelers, monster trucks, fishing, listening to music, and most of all cruising in his Mustangs and Broncos.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday March 28, 2025, at Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral in Palmyra.
