Robert Scott Johnson

Scott Johnson passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.  Born on October 25, 1967, he was a son of Robert L Johnson and the late Brenda L Johnson.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Scott Allen Johnson.  

Scott is survived by his father, Robert L Johnson, Jr; his wife, Patricia M. Johnson; daughter, Kelly M. Johnson; sisters, LaTita Clements (Patrick),and Vickie Johnson; loving nieces and nephews, Chelsey Baker (Rodney King), Luke Clements, and Shelby Clements; great-nephews, Blake Cochran and Owen King; great-niece Hannah King; and loving aunts and uncles and cousins.  

Scott worked as a groundsman at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello for 22 years.  He also worked for Jay Gillenwater at Grandview Nursey.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and thoroughly enjoyed the Washington Redskins.  He spent many hours in outdoor activities.  He loved music.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Antioch Baptist Church, 4422 Antioch Road, Scottsville, Va.  Pastor Dave Vogt will be officiating.  Interment will immediately follow in Scottsville Cemetery, 497 Hardware Street, Scottsville, Va.  

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.  

Due to COVID-19, facial coverings will be required at all services and social distancing will be observed.
