Robin Marie (Morris) Collins

Robin Walker Collins, 63, of Scottsville passed away on Saturday September 21, 2024, at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. 

She was born in Charlottesville, Virginia to Lawrence and Janie Morris of Scottsville, Virginia. Robin was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Morris Sr., she leaves behind her sons Samuel Walker, Jr. (Carrie) and Patrick Walker (Jessica), grandchildren Tate, Ellie, Madilynn, Peyton, Macey, Phoebe and Jameson, mother Janie Morris, brother Lawrence Morris Jr (Deneen), sister Christi Shaheen (Joe), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robin dedicated nearly 37 years of service to the University Physicians Group. She was passionate about her role as a Payment and Imaging Specialist. Robin cherished the friendships of her past and present coworkers.

Robin was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved to spend her time with her family, whether it was dinner with her mom, or going on vacations. Those who knew her will recall her love of old movies, Elvis Presley, and Dolly Parton. Robin was an avid recipe collector, always on the hunt for new things to try. Her beloved cat, Oreo, was her constant companion. Robin had a colorful personality and loved colorful things – especially things in purple. She loved to see nature’s beauty in flowers, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Robin loved to travel and visit new places – but she was happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren who gave her so much joy.

Family night will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsville, VA. 

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Chapel. Interment will follow in the Scottsville Cemetery. An open reception will be held at Antioch Baptist Church for family and friends.
