Ruby Mae Davis, 90, of Scottsville, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in Charlottesville.
She was born December 22, 1932, in Virginia, the daughter of the late Joseph Bruce Moyer and Annie Lee Thompson Moyer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Perkins Davis, a daughter, Patricia Davis Goode, a grandson, Michael Wayne Goode of Scottsville, a brother William Moyer, and a sister Pearl Moyer Thomas.
Ruby is survived by her sons, Melvin Dean Davis (Judy) of Scottsville, Wayne Davis (Linda) of North Carolina; a daughter, Linda Davis of Florida; son-n-law Bill Goode of Scottsville; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; She is also survived by a special friend Jackie DeShano.
She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Scottsville. Ruby loved going to dances.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Devin Watkins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Thacker Brother Scottsville Funeral Home.
