Smith Austin Willis, Jr.

     Smith Austin Willis Jr., 76, of Scottsville, died on November 12, 2021 at Hospice of the Piedmont - Center for Acute Care.
     
     He was born on May 22, 1945, a son of the late Smith Austin Willis Sr. and Ruby (Glass) Willis, who survives. 
      
     Mr. Willis served in the US Army Reserve for six years and was self-employed as a Carpenter.  He loved building things, working on tractors and motorcycles, hunting and spending time with friends.  
    
     Survivors include his wife, Marie (Haislip) Willis of Scottsville; daughter Sheila Willis of Lake Monticello;  son Brian Willis (Carol) of Scottsville; grandson Daniel Willis; sister Barbara Willis; brother David Willis; and many extended family and friends.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sandra Tooley for her love and support. 
     
      A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Scottsville Cemetery by Pastor Randy Golloday.  
      
      There will be no viewing or visitation.
