Susanne Davis Funk

     Susanne Davis Funk, 79, of Scottsville, died on April 15, 2022 at University of Virginia Medical Center.

     She was born on August 8, 1942 in Lewistown, PA, a daughter of the late James Charles and Elva Myerly (McCoy) Davis.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Jean Hawk.

     Susanne worked as an Administrative Professional and was a long-time member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ocean City, NJ, and the Montgomery County Junior Everywoman's Club. She was a lover of cats, accomplished pianist, avid reader and enjoyed working puzzles, gardening, and cooking.

     Survivors include her husband, John Henry Funk, Sr., four children, John Henry Funk, Jr. (Joyce) of Casa Grande, AZ, Michael James Funk (Lauren) of Charlottesville, Caroline Louisa Funk (Matt Cahoon) of Buffalo, NY, Daniel Jeremy Funk (Noelle) of Howardsville; and three grandchildren, Lydia, Samuel, and Maxwell.

     A memorial gathering will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.

     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charlottesville/Albemarle SPCA, 3355 Berkmar Drive, Charlottesville, Virginia, 22901.
