Troy "Guke" Hamner Tapscott, 58, of Scottsville, died on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at his home.
He was born on August 21, 1967, in Charlottesville, a son of Harvey Hill and Barbara (Carroll) Tapscott.
Troy was co-owner of Tapscott Brothers Logging, Forest Pro and Timberbought Farms. He enjoyed farming and talking to his close friends and farm buddies and loved to work. He collected farm tractors old and new, enjoyed gator rides with his pride and Joy Toot, and looked forward to Saturday morning breakfast at Tip Top with Binky and the crew. He attended Antioch Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
A granddaughter, Avery Campbell preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Melissa Palmer Tapscott; daughter, Tory Campbell her husband Max, and granddaughter Layton (Toot); son, Wyatt Tapscott his wife Laurelyn; five brothers, Harvey (Jr) and Penny, Bernard (Hassie) and Leslie, Tracey and Kathy, James (Beatle) and Susan, and Charles (Binky) and Robin; several nieces and nephews - too many to mention but he loved them dearly.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church by Pastor Greg Vogt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
