Willie Maie Curd Pillow Sprouse, 96, of Schuyler, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 20, 2022.
She was born on February 14, 1926, in Schuyler, a daughter of the late Willie Edward and Viola Mae (Hudson) Curd.
Mrs. Sprouse was preceded in death by her first husband, James Daniel Pillow, her second husband, Stephen Lenwood Sprouse; her only son, James Edward Pillow and daughter in-law, Sandra Lynn Wood Pillow.
Willie worked at a sewing factory in Lovingston for several years, she then went on to work at Comdial Corporation, retiring in 1988. Mrs. Sprouse found great joy in reading her bible, crocheting, singing, and in her younger days, she would dance until her feet hurt!
Survivors include her only grandchild, Alicia Maie Pillow of Schuyler; along with a host of friends that loved her like family.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00PM on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at The Curd Family Cemetery, 539 Rockfish Crossing, Schuyler, by Pastor Nancy Grant.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Thacker Brothers Funeral home in Scottsville.
