Walter Randolph Napier Sr, 81, of Scottsville, passed away on December 10, 2021 at his home.
He was born on December 18, 1939 in Fluvanna County, a son of the late Robert Lewis and Emma Pauline (Davis) Napier.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Otis, Wesley, Frank, Lloyd, Herman and Robert Napier; and five sisters, Emma Johnson, Estelle Roach, Edna Nees, Ruby Harris and Ruth Moltz.
Mr. Napier retired from Sullivan Mechanical Contractors and was a member at First Church of the Nazarene. He played Santa throughout the community for several years.
He is survived by his wife Becky Napier and children, Kimberly Napier ( Jason) of Staunton, Teresa Wilkerson of Amherst, Cindy Davis ( Teddy) of Arvonia and Connie Gibson (Wayne) of Grottoes, and one son Walter (Randy) Randolph Napier; one sister, Margaret Tooley of Scottsville; one brother Douglas Napier of Palmyra; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and step-children Melanie Apelt (John) and Stephanie Seay all of Scottsville.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Walter’s caregivers, Chelsea Belew, Jessica Morris, Virginia Hunt and Shelley Hunt.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Fox Memorial Baptist Church in Scottsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scottsville Rescue Squad.
