Weva Sue (Hash) White

   Weva Sue (Hash) White, 84, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Scottsville, VA died on July 23, 2021, at her home.

   She was born on May 25, 1937, in Milburn, WV, daughter of the late Roy Taylor Hash and Anna Lou (Cordell) Hash.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Stephen White, Jr. in July of 2012.

   Sue had a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Catholic University School of Social Service and practiced as a LCSW until retirement in 1998.  She was a member of St. Andrews U.M.C. in Hagerstown.

   Survivors include her sons, John S. White, III and wife, Mary Katherine of Smithsburg, MD, and Timothy T. White of Hagerstown; and three grandchildren, John S. White, IV, Kyle T. White, and Ian T. White.

   A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Scottsville Cemetery by the Rev. Laura Stratton.
