William Boyd Hall

     William Boyd Hall, 70, of Scottsville, died July 27, 2020 at his home peacefully.  Billy was a retired Forest Warden from Buckingham County Forestry. The Smokey Bear School Program was dear to his heart. He spent most of his time with family and friends playing the guitar and banjo. He enjoyed tractor pulls, car racing, and quality time with his friends, Doug and William, along with late nights of apple butter making. Billy knew no stranger and was happiest around the people he loved. 

      He was born on July 11, 1950 to the late Charles James Hall Sr. and Maggie Marie Thomas Hall.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Hall Jr, Melvin Ray Hall, Roger Lee Hall, Thomas Odell Hall; sister, Janita Marie Hall; and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends. 

     William is survived by his wife of almost 51 years, Patricia Elaine Hall; children, William “Billy” Hall Jr and wife Jenni, Wendy Dawn Hall, and Amanda Gayle Hall; grandchildren, Dustin Ryan Spencer and wife Jodie, Kaitlin Marie Johnson and husband Jarron, William Scott Spencer and wife Shyanne, Brandon Wyatt Hall, Destiny Brooke Spencer and fiancé Logan “Kody” Francisco, Trace Aaron-Berley Hall, Elaina Grace Costello, and Noah Adam Hall; great-grandchildren, Olivia Brooke Spencer, Rylee Ann Spencer, Oaklynn Grace Spencer, Levi William Spencer, Jackson Edward Spencer, Aleighia Annette Herndon, Ashton Grace Harlow, Jeyce Edward Shifflett, Adalynn Meceyde Shifflett, and Eleanor Lyn Francisco; and brother, David Wayne Hall.

     A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home  by Pastor Randy Golladay.  Interment will immediately follow in Scottsville Cemetery.   

     The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 pm, Saturday evening, August 1, 2020 at the funeral home.
